I was contracted by Manila-based Brucelink Telecommunications for a comprehensive study on the feasibility and optimization of public last-mile wireless connectivity in various remote locations across the Philippines. As part of this project, I also spearheaded the implementation and maintenance of wireless connectivity through use of long-range and conventional IEEE 802.11 technology, contributing to enhanced communication capabilities in places where traditional telecom companies could not compete.
Additionally, I took charge of the cloud integration of customer accounting systems, prioritizing the confidentiality and security of sensitive client data. My responsibilities also extended to general database administration and the efficient management and maintenance of mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and reliability. Through these accomplished goals and successes, I played a pivotal role in advancing connectivity solutions and bolstering the overall technological framework.
Solutions brought by Information Technology, especially in remote areas of the Philippines, aid in connecting families and communities.
Through consultation and help from local talents and materials, implementation was unique to each location, with participation from a wide array of community members.
Being immersed in YouTuber culture and with endless amounts of tutorials at my disposal, I found myself developing my basic editing skills and finding interest in making videos outside of obligation.
I started my venture into content creation back in 2018 - by making a promotional video for my local parish. Documenting communities in action and presenting ideas through findings in the footage opened a new dimension of communication in my life, defining an important phase of my adolescence and high school years. I integrated video work in my school assignments and documented livelihoods around me on my free time.
2019 - One of my first ventures into content creation outside of work and school was testing methods to document action and movement.
In 2020, I joined H4 Community, a collective of content creators and leaders that foster community involvement and student wellbeing. I, alongside a team of talented student creators created and managed student-led content and content campaigns on their Instagram account @h4community and its partner accounts. I learned and honed important content and social media management skills, and developed familiarity with the Adobe suite.
2020 - A favourite pasttime when making content was sharing recipes over video.
Engaging in STEM extracurriculars has been a defining aspect of my journey since 2016. As a founding member of the St. André Robotics Club, I leveraged my technical expertise to contribute significantly, culminating in one of our proudest achievements: securing 3rd place in the SkillsOntario LEGO® Robotics competition-Intermediate division in 2018. This not only marked a triumph for our team but also represented a historic moment for TCDSB by clinching its first medal and podium placement in the competition.
Beyond SkillsOntario, our team excelled in Destination Imagination, securing 2nd place in both regionals and provincials. Our proudest moment came at the Global Finals competition in Knoxville, TN, where we ranked in the top 20%, competing on a global stage and showcasing Toronto's excellence in the STEM community.
Committed to fostering STEM education, I invested over 300 hours in mentoring and teaching at-risk Etobicoke students, empowering them with crucial STEM skillsets. Guiding them through the intricacies of planning, testing, and executing their ideas, I aimed not only to impart technical knowledge but also to instill positive learning habits and a strong work ethic. This rich variety of experiences underscores not just my technical proficiency but also my dedication to collaborative innovation and community impact.
